After Culture Club - When's the next one??!

Last night's Culture Club 2 started off in Waterloo's Coffee Culture for a meetup and a cup of tea. The evening was a refreshing addition to the Waterloo social calendar, displaying a nice cross-section of attendees from a number of backgrounds leading to a colourful evening. I thought starting off at the coffee venue was great to network, catch up with friends to chat as well as setting the scene for the event ahead.
We then headed over to the Princess Cinema to see the film - actually a series of award winning commercials from around the world. Some of the advertisements were awesome, some were thought provoking and some (in my opinion) weren't that great. The mix was to be expected though as sometimes critics choices aren't synonymous with the masses (Actually, I just plain didn't understand some!). Of the good ones, some really stood out. I've chosen just a few to feature here, but there were many many more awesome commercials to choose from. In no particular order, here are some of our favourites:
- Boag's Draught: From the Pure Waters of Tasmania
- Milk - Jumpers
- MTV: Choose or Lose-Phone
- Canadian Film Centre (Worldwide Short Film Festival): Scooter
- Parents out of control on a scooter - Tele2
- Alcohol, Know Your Limits - Binge Drinking Girl
- McLaren controlada por celular bluetooth Nokia N95
- Miller High Life - 1 Second Ads
- T-Mobile Advert - Life's for Sharing
