Our take on DemoCamp Guelph 12
Image via MonsterFarm
Our first venture to DemoCamp Guelph was enlightening and very social - we recommend that if you missed it & you're in the area, come to the next one! The evening was held in eBar. My first impression of the venue was definitely the eye-catching artwork on the walls (all for sale). This place gets a thumbs up from us just for supporting local artists!
After edging through the crowd, we found a square of floor in the standing-room only event for the guest speaker and demos. Tara Hunt, author of The Whuffie Factor captivated the audience: "She doesn’t believe in pushing messages or creating strong brands, only in the power of building relationships."
The Demo's of the evening were inspiring as many of the presenters were sharing brand new (beta) products. A complete list can be found at MonsterFarming.com along with pictures from the event.
Anyone around Guelph who is interested in technology and the web should attend - watch the website for upcoming dates.
