If you were lucky enough to attend last year’s TEDxWaterloo event, you’ll know that the upcoming sequel is something not to be missed. Here’s the run-down for anyone who hasn’t heard the hype yet – TED: Ideas worth Spreading are “Riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world” These international conferences are inspiring, rewarding and pretty elite. The great thing about our event is the addition of the letter ‘x’. x= independently organized TED event. Which allows smaller communities to come together and co-ordinate their own version of the high-class affair.
On March 3, 2010, Waterloo Region hosts it’s second annual TEDxWaterloo event. Located in Centre in the Square, the day runs from 1pm – 8pm with an after-party to follow. Curious about how to attend? Simply fill in this application form and wait to hear back about your acceptance. Tickets are $40 and it’s a full day event, so come after lunch prepared to be fed, motivated and pumped full of inspiration!
Having spent a great deal of time on the organizing committee for the day, I’ll admit – it’s going to be an awesome & noteworthy event for our region. Hope to see you there!
