Kitchener Waterloo Business Forum (KWBF)

Today was our first venture to the Kitchener Waterloo Business Forum Lunch Group, and it turned out to be a refreshing change to the usual uptight referral based networking group...

Instead, there was an air of interest and exploration into their businesses, and what others could do to assist of help with their particular area of expertise, contacts or knowledge. This added to a more laid back and ultimately more useful business to business networking process.

The stipulation of only allowing one member from any particular industry sector also assisted in the openness of the forum, with nobody feeling that they are stepping on the toes of another networking member.

Angies in St. Agatha was a quiet, pleasant and helpful venue. It was also well laid out and attentive, but did not encroach on the groups productivity.

The next meeting should be equally (if not more) structured to grow organically to the needs of the group and members.

Present at this seating was:

Karl Allen-Muncey, CuteGecko Design Agency
Amy Vandenberg, CuteGecko Design Agency
Chris Davis, Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc.
Bev Davis, Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc.
Gary Devitt, Remax Sales Representative
Ian Kangaloo, Dynamic Approach Massage Therapy
Dwayne Mott, Compugen Inc.
Hans Klepp, 2K Services
Sam Ozen, UPS Store
